10.11.2008

Transparency International-Estonia as an independent organisation has evolved into a substantive competence centre and linking institution in anti-corruption activities in Estonia. This is a result of consistent and socially active engagements. One of the priorities set in the courses of action for 2008 is the development of a network of non-governmental organisations (NGO) to activate and enhance the fight against corruption. It is necessary to have widespread and competent organisation in Estonia to coordinate anti-corruption actions. Main objectives of the organisation are to analyze the risks of corruption in different spheres and economical branches, to point out and lead the attention of authorities to the problematic fields, developing proposals of legislative amendments and strengthening cooperation between the institutions and private persons concerned with the fight against corruption.
